Commander's Check-In Report

Ivo Ferreira Reporting

Crew Physical Status: Good

Time Departed/Returned from EVA:

EVA#23 (12:45-16:30)

EVA#24 (17:00-18:20)

Brief Narrative of Field Mission Results:

Today was our last full day at the station.

We spent the day organizing the samples that we retrieved (we need to ship them to the ESTEC, Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and the SALM group), writing the summary report and cleaning the Habitat for the upcoming ILEWG EuroMoonMars 100B crew.

During the afternoon there was time for two last EVAs to remove the markers used during the experiment with communications and visit the nearby mountains.

Tonight we will have a relaxing night, staring at the dark Martian sky for the last time before our trip back to Earth.

Engineering/Hab Maintenance: This morning we experienced again the leak on the hot water circuit. Again, it stopped after one hour. See engineering report.

Plans for Tomorrow:  Prepare the briefing we will give to the upcoming crew. Enjoy our last moments at the Red planet.

Reports scheduled for today: Engineering, Commander, Journalist, Science, EVA#23 and EVA#24

Inventory: N/A

Support Requested: N/A

Commander's Report

Ivo Ferreira Reporting

Last everything

Today we are sad. Sad because we leave this planet; sad because we like EVAs; sad because tomorrow we will not be able to stare at the sky and see Earth as a shining point; sad because we were becoming ATV experts; sad because we will miss Max and the parrot; sad because tomorrow we will be worried about much more "earthly" problems; sad because we will not be able to put our spacesuits on and collect some samples; sad because we will not be able to appreciate dehydrated stroganoff with beef and noodles; sad because tomorrow we will not enjoy this beautiful red landscape; sad because we will have to spend the next 12 months inside our spacecraft; sad because we will miss Mars.

Today we are happy. Happy because tomorrow we will not have to carry buckets when flushing the toilet; happy because tomorrow we will be closer to our families; happy because we will not have water leaks starting at midnight; happy because we will enjoy eggs that are not made with powder; happy because we can eat a fatty pizza or burger anytime we want; happy because we are coming back to our planet.

This was an amazing experience that just could not have been better thanks to all my crew. Tomorrow it will be time to welcome the ILEWG EuroMoonMars 100B crew, to their new home for the next 2 weeks. Hope they enjoy it as much as we did. This is Ivo Ferreira, Commander of Crew 100A, Signing off.

Journalist Report

Roman Benchenafi Reporting

As today was our last day in the station, we had to clean all the habitat in order to make it welcoming for the arrival of crew 100B.

Everything is ready now for the shift. it will

be pleasant to come back on Earth but we will miss our Martian experience.
