Journalist ReportChef's ReportGregory Van Roy Reporting 1a) Today was- a cooking day 1b) Was today a special day celebrated at the main meal with special food or activity? If so, what was special about today and what food(s) were prepared to mark the celebration? Today is the Youris’s day and night so we will watch some special movies tonight but nothing special about the food 2) List the foods served at today's main meal (usually the evening meal), giving full names of each. Bear Creek Soup Beef, AuGratin Potatoes, Fully Cooked Bacon, Bread, Kool-Aid drink mix 3) List any main meal foods not finished by the crew (leftovers stored for later use or discarded) Fully Cooked Bacon : left 2 packs 4) Recipes for anything more complicated than following package directions exactly, or rehydrating. Bread : 1-1/2 cup Water, 2 TBL Oil, 3 TBL Sugar, 2 TSP Salt, 2 TBL Dry Milk, 4-1/2 Flour, 2 TSP Dry Yeast, Walnut You can add some cranberries for the morning to have a sweeter taste 5) Lessons learned (if any) We must let the bread fit more than an hour before put it in the oven. If we don’t do that, it’s too heavy and difficult to eat 6) Comments/questions for Kim and Jean, the food study investigators We are waiting for a missing piece of the bread maker Thrive potatoes aren’t really tasty, so we have to find a trick to solve this problem, maybe more spices |
